OUR STORYAt Smoky Mountain Popcorn Company we have been handcrafting gourmet popcorn since 2010. What started with founders Chester Crowley and Dr. Milind Desai quickly became an East Tennessee favorite, known for bold flavors and hometown charm. The tradition was proudly carried on by Nancy Thursbay until June 2024, when Michael & Lisa Patterson and their boys stepped in to continue the legacy.
Michael, a retired U.S. Navy Diver with 22 years of service, returned home to East Tennessee in 2018. With a deep love for community and quality, the Patterson family is passionate about keeping the same high standards our customers have always counted on -- while also experimenting with exciting new flavors and techniques. We're proud to be a local favorite and excited to share our popcorn with both new visitors and lifelong fans. Try just one bite, and we think you'll be a customer for life.
